Happy Inspiration Monday!  I spotted these stylish looks while on Vogue selecting my top five looks from the Oscars.  These three looks immediately caught my eye and I plan to recreate each with resale pieces that I own.

Shoe Woo | Pierre Hardy’s ‘Lily’ Sandals

Today’s shoe woo obsession is compliments of Pierre Hardy.  These lovely ‘Lily’ inspired sandals are crafted from the softest leather and the highlight is the painted floral print in pastel shades. The cutout design flatters and and can be paired multiple ways this upcoming Spring/Summer season. Guaranteed to turn heads and they provide a modern aesthetic with an enchanting twist.

MODAGE STYLE | Fashion Swap Soirée + Style Maven Meetup

Recycle Your Gems & Renew Your Wardrobe!

An evening of fashion and style . . . .

Are you afraid of being photographed twice in that vintage leather skirt?  Have you gained or lost a few pounds and your favorite jeans no longer fit like a glove?  What about that clutch you purchased off of eBay only to find out that it’s too small to fit all your essentials?  How about those knee length fringe boots that have been in the box for two years and taking up valuable space in your closet?  If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, we invite you to gather your gently worn items and meet us at the MODAGE Style | Fashion Swap Soirée + Style Maven Meetup.

Attendees can mingle, browse, trade and are encouraged to bring at least 10-15 gently worn items {all sizes welcome/multi-seasonal} to swap.  Strike a pose as we will be snapping photos of our attendees showing off their one-of-a-kind finds.

MODAGE Style | Thrift Thursday

My MODAGE Find of the week was compliments of my local Goodwill.  I discovered a new retail store several days ago and vowed to return when I had some free time.  I was not disappointed, because I was able to snag a brand new pair of peep-toe ankle booties compliments of Vince Camuto.  When I discovered them in the window, I immediately fell in love with the sequins embellishment and the fact that they have never been worn.  I’m thinking of packing them in my carry on to travel with me to Vegas next month.  I’ve read several reviews about this style and they seem to be very comfortable and reliable when wanting to look cute without rocking flats.

As I continued to walk around the store in an attempt to familiarize myself, I spotted this vintage suede handbag with immaculate gold hardware.  The bag is in pristine condition {inside as well} and stamped Made in Paris.  Currently, I am researching the brand, but she will be added to my line up this weekend as I debut her at high tea with the girls.

Recap: MODAGE Style | NYC Vintage Bus Tour

Last Saturday afternoon, the MODAGE Style Luxe Bus traveled to NYC for an afternoon of vintage and resale shopping.  Aboard the luxe bus were 30 Style Mavens who supported my first short-and-sweet vintage inspired tour in the Big Apple.  We watched vintage movies such as Breakfast at Tiffany’s, The Seven Year Itch, and The Great Gatsby, while being chauffeured to our various style stops.  Yes, we were all very excited about snagging new and gently worn contemporary clothing, as well as vintage finds. Several attendees were armed with vintage/resale wish lists and inspiration boards.

We picked up four of my NYC/NJ friends at the Fashion Institute of Technology upon arriving at the first stop.  I was ecstatic that they were joining us for the day.  Although they could have clearly visited these locations by themselves {because they are local}, I was very honored that they decided to spend their afternoon with me.  Thank you Selina, Christina, Adriane, and Bianca {and we missed you Jana and Denise}!

Our first stop was my personal favorite, The Manhattan Vintage Clothing Show.  I attend this showcase annually and thought that it would be a great addition to bring the Style Mavens. The Manhattan Vintage Clothing Show is the ultimate vintage showcase, which brings together over 90 of the country’s top vintage clothing and antique textile dealers under one roof. Last year, I purchased the most adorable vintage sequins pill box veiled hat and even met Amsale Aberra, one of my top five bridal designers.  Click here to see photo.

Our second stop was a quick refuel break at Dallas BBQ in Time Square, yum.  The Pineapple Crush cocktail and Sticky Wings with tempura vegetables were much needed.

For dessert, we visited Housing Works West Village Thrift Shop to attend their Old Fashion Love in-store event.  Housing Works is a healing community of people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.  Their mission is to end the dual crises of homelessness and AIDS through relentless advocacy, the provision of lifesaving services, and entrepreneurial businesses that sustain their efforts.  Words can’t describe how much I love this place!  We found so many stylish pieces and the prices were reasonable. From vintage caplets to Balenciaga sunglasses, these Style Mavens hit the fashion jackpot!  As you can see from the photos, our bus was full of shopping bags and we returned to the DMV and could not wait to snap pictures of our stylish finds.

I’ve rounded up my favorite featured photos from the MODAGE Style | NYC Vintage Bus Tour that were spotted on various social media platforms using hashtags #MODAGESTYLE or #MODAGEStyleTourNYC and snapped with my phone.

Housing Works West Village Thrift Shop showed us love by reposting my photo from Instagram featuring Style Maven Felicia.

This coat was snagged by Style Maven Enette at The Manhattan Vintage Clothing Show.  Weill is one of the oldest French fashion houses, which was established in 1892 {and still in business}!  More current styles of this coat can cost up to 1300€.  Enette snagged this gorgeous stunner for $60!

I scored this amazing vintage mink cardigan from Housing Works West Village Thrift Shop.  Yes, I will be rocking this to post-Valentine’s Day lunch with my husband.  Feeling very Diana Ross’ish with this piece.

These two adorable vintage veiled hats compliments of the Vintage Maven {Stacy LoAlbo} of Incogneeto Vintage Clothing Boutique & Antique Jewelry.

We will be returning to NYC on Saturday, April 18th, and tickets will be available on Tuesday, February 24th.  Want to see additional photos from the MODAGE Style | NYC Vintage Bus Tour?  Join us in our Facebook group.
